Why is my hemoglobin level is 9.6 with nornal rbc count?

My blood count us normal but my hemoglobin is 9.6 [the min it has gone is 9.4 and max it has is 11.1] but it never enters the normal ranges and 11.1 just happened once either its 9 or 10- I eat normal both veges and meat if I go to a doc he says take iron tablets for some time its fine but then it goes back down… Can anyone help me understand also im a female [my cycle is normal] I dont understand why my blood level never goes up- I feel down,weak,tired,sometimes out of breath- I walk 5 km everyday and my weight wont come down…yes I drink a lot of water…

I drink 5-6 glasses of water not more than 7 a day

the sad thing is that its probably hereditory…not your fault and also nothing that you can really do about it.

Your body is not producing enough red blood cells. You may have either Iron deficiency anemia, which is treatable with ferrous sulfate (iron pills), pernicious anemia, which is treatable with B12 injections or you may be losing blood somewhere in your body. Your doctor will need to do blood tests to determine what is causing it.
