Am I fat, I weight 9 stone and am 5'6"

hey you guys! I was just wondering can anybody help me im 17 years old il be 18 in july and I weigh 9 stone im like 5’6 am I fat or what? every one says im not and thinks I have a problem but what do you guys think? oh my lord I just want to be skinny!

9 stones is about 126-7 lbs. For a 5’6 height, I figure you’re probably a medium frame. I’m the same height, and I’ve been at your weight before. Honestly, I didn’t like my body when I was at that weight, now I’m at 120lbs, and clothes look much cuter on me. You’re definitely not fat, but not thin enough to wear really trendy clothes for your age. So, lose 5 lbs, and you’ll be much happier while still staying in a healthy BMI range.

iam nearly 14 about 5foot 3 and way about 10stone 7 im so fat compared to peole in my class i can’t were nice skirts because i have thunder thighs i just want help!!!

I know what you mean! You are at a healthy weight but you want to be toned. But do you exercise? Just because you weigh healthy doesn’t mean you are. Muscle outweighs fat and for every pound of muscle you burn up to 50 more calories a day. So eat healthy and exercise to tone up.

According to my calculations, 9 stone is 126 lb. At 5 foot 6 inches, body mass index would be 20.3. Health Body Mass Index is 18.5-24.9 She seems to be OK to me (atleast in terms of weight). Is this incorrect?

Categorically, you are niether too skinny nor overweight. Your BMI falls right in the middle of “Healthy”. In other words, you are perfect! Gawd, wish that I were you!

hey danielle,i live on the other side of the world but anyway thats not the point.i’m 13yrs old and i just wanted 2 tell you that you are not FAT!don’t ever try to change yourself.god made us all in his likeness and i think you should accept yourself for who you are.if you still think that you are fat(which i assure you that you are not)you need to go to a doc to have evrythin checked lol,neil
