Is it bad to leave your computer chargin like your phone charger?

definately not a problem, I leave my laptop charging all day and night and only unplug it if I need to take it up/downstairs. the phone charger thing isnt a problem either because when you first get a new phone you charge it like overnight don’t u?

The phone part is a myth. Back in the day, the batteries that were in cell phones would in fact go bad if you charged them before they were completely dead and left them charging all night. However, modern technology has led to a strong improvement in the way those batteries respond so that nowadays, you can leave your phone plugged in all the time without any harm. I just bought a new phone and asked the guy about it, in case it seems like I’m making stuff up.

As for the laptop, mine stays plugged in all day every day because I work online. My husband’s computer essentially blew the battery for doing the same thing though, so now his has to be plugged into the wall to work, until we buy him a new battery or a new laptop entirely. That was from years and years of constant use, so you might not have remotely the same issue. I never did. I think the main problem lies in overheating, so if you’re worried about it, just get one of those fans that you can set your laptop on. That will help keep things cooled while the battery is charging. Just a suggestion…

Either way, I think the only big risk you have is running up a high electric bill, and a phone charger and a laptop aren’t going to do that much damage :)

I charge my laptop all day AND night and it stillw orks just fine for me
