Why has my letter to London from Atlanta not arrived after 3 weeks?

Hi, guys. I sent a letter to the UK 3 weeks ago, but my friend has yet to receive it. I sent a second letter 10 days ago…and that one hasn’t been received either. The address is correct, and the USPS clerk told me that the letter should have arrived within 4-7 days. Both are regular letters sent via airmail. Does anyone know what could be going on? tbh I wouldnt count on what they say.. any kind of mail thats sent from different countries to other countries will take a while… because when I was on holiday in Florida.. it took up to a month or so maybe longer till my Nan got our Postcard and thats to the UK also so give it time… if your friend hasnt got it after 2 months then its worth looking into it sorry if im not much help x
