Why don't my parents want me to get my nose pierced?

There is a reason they won’t let you get it, you are still really young right now, if you are 18 and you still want to get it go ahead, but chances are you will change your mind between now and then…

Also apart from the above answers ^ .. Its possible to be blinded by a nose piercing if they pierce the wrong part. Thats whats stopping me from piercing mine :( Lol

This is something you want, not something you need.

Nothing you say will ever change your parents mind. Your parents have an issue with it because it would mark you for the rest of your life. At 13 you have no idea who you will be at 23, 33 or later in life.

There is a social stigma with your choice. As you get older you would be judged differently and would not be considered for things like jobs, ect… This is just a fact of life whether it is right or wrong.

you cant MAKE them say yes and at 13, you really dont need it 13 year old kids often go out and get holes in there face, then regret them lateron when there more grown up and mture and realise those holes are there for life your only 13 you havent wanted this thing for years and its likley in a few years your opinion will change you also dont get somemthing just because someone else is wait a few more years (at least 2-3) then if you still want it, ask again but want it for YOU, not because your friend is getting one

I’ll tell ya why: Nose peircings look like crap! You’re more likely to be judged with a nose peircing negatively. I know thats what I do to people, not afraid to say it either.

Peircings like that make it harder to find a job, some guys don’t like it so they won’t consider going out with you. You think a guy would turn someone down if they didn’t have certain peircings? No…

My sister has one. Tell them the good things about it. promise them you will put a retainer on it n stuff
