Why does my puppy not see well?

I just got a 3 month old pure bred toy aussie and she is blind in one eye, but she still seems to not be able to see well. She will wander and ump into things often but can still see if you move your hand fast in front of her. Is there anything I could try doing or is it just her bad depth percepcion?

Your pup could be near sighted in her good eye…and at 3 months, she’s still very puppy, so she’s clumsy as well. As she matures, she’ll probably quit bumping into things, tho you’ll probably see her having to get closer to people and things…close enough to use her nose, to recognize the human, and/or ‘see’ the object. Many dogs are near sighted, but since dogs rely heavily on their noses (in the exact way that humans rely on their eyes)…it’s not much of a problem for them.
