Why do they call it a double quarter pounder instead of half pound?
McDonalds call their burgers double quarter pounders. Why not just half pound?
I personally don’t think that “half pound” would make any sense at all. That’s my opinion.
Half pounder would imply 1, 1/2 lb patty.
Double Quarter pounder implys 2, 1/4lb patties.
I think because the longer the name, the ‘bigger’ its perceived to be. and the bigger it is perceived to be, people will think its more value for their money.

Because nobody would eat a half pound of meat at one time, that would be disgusting. It is also why they say a trillion served instead of sold. Marketing.
