Why do people steorytype others?

I got called an emo by some year 10s the other day - just because I was wearing a bit of black make-up. I just said ‘Go and get a life,’ laughed, and walked off. But I’m so surprised my friends didn’t say anything. They said they were my best friends- seems not. If anyone says that just laugh it off and they’ll soon stop teasing you. But I can’t trust my friends anymore lol x

Because to be quite honest you can tell a lot by a person by the clothes they wear. If I see someone wearing a football t shirt, a nike cap, tracksuit bottoms, nike airs and a stupid haircut and piercing, I know they’ll be a dick.
