Why do parents think that if they mess up with one child...?

Why do parents think that if they mess up with one or more children the youngest must be perfect in a sense? Because in my house that’s how it seems, I’m the youngest and all the pressure of doing things right is on me.

Answer #1

Dont feel under pressure, you can only do your best, but make sure it is your best and you arent kidding yourself that it is. Your parents only want you to be the best you can, theyre just looking out for you. They may not be expressing this correctly but just remember they love you and they probably feel responsible for the previous muck ups and dont wanna make the same mistake. Dont take it personally :)

Answer #2

Well your perents want to know if they are doing something wrong, they have learned from their mistakes and they don’t want to make onother one.

If a first child is on drugs ( for example) and he/she is now ruined for life the perents are ganna keep that second child secure and the best they can to keep them away from making the same mistake as the other kid. Meaby talk to them and let them know that you are feeling a little pressure to be perfect. But if your older sibilings made a mistake also keep yourself from making them too.

Answer #3

Wow, I always thought that the oldest gets more put on them, the middle child gets ignored, and the youngest gets anything they want. [Thats how it is in my house], But if you feel like everythings put on you, You should really try talking to your parents and letting them know how you feel. I know it seems harder than what it sounds, but to avoid anything bad in the future, thats what you should do. I hope all goes well with you, sorry if I wasn’t any help.
