Why do older people say this?

Ok so I’m 17 an I hear things like your getting older time is running out you need to get your life on track an get a job an when your in a relationship try an make it work an stuff but then they change it up an say your so young still enjoy being a kid blah blah blah blah but then it’s back at your 17 so your growing up so fast now like I don’t know it’s so confusing??

Answer #1

Usually I find that people who say that are people that aren’t happy with how their lives turned out. You’re 17, you’re still young, you can do what you want to. If you want to work on a career already go for it. If you want to still bring out the inner kid in you, enjoy it.

Point is: As long as you enjoy your life there is no problem.

well older people always know what they’re saying but it is pretty confusing. I guess it means, try and get your life on the road, don’t just date anyone and be careful who it is, and don’t destroy your own life because of someone else (mostly relationshipswise). okay well I hope I helped. I get a lot of wisdom talk from my father and a few others. :P
