Why do I get really dizzy a lot? Is this normal?

Hi, I’m 13 years old. For the past couple of years, something has been happening to me, and I’ve recently become concerned about what it is. My only guess is that it is dizzyness. For example, today I walked to the door and let my dog out. While I was walking back to the sofa, I suddenly got this weird sensation in my body. I couldn’t see anything, all I could see were weird colors and dots…it’s hard to explain. I felt like I was going to collapse. And then it stopped. And gradually I was able to see normally again. But it took a few minutes for my heart to stop racing. I was wondering if this is normal, because I’ve talked to my mom about it and she’s never had it happen to her before. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Low blood pressure may also cause dizzy spells, so perhaps you could get your doctor to check your blood pressure. Low blood pressure often runs in familys (hereditary), and is common in thin people. This is only one of many possible reasons.

it sounds like a blackout/passout it shouldnt be happening so often though it could be caused from dehydration, being underweight/unhealthy and over-exerscising you need to see a doctor and explain it to him/her so they can find out what it is and why it happens to you

Answer #3

That happens to me when I watch TV or play on the computer to long. Like when I quit and stand up to walk everything will become like a tv on a channel with bad reception like all fuzzy. Then gradually comes back I think it’s pretty normal, I have friends who say it happens to them to.

I have it to, no worries, it could be something as simple as water build up in your ear througing off your balance, =]
