Why are low rise bars preferred on BMX cruisers?

Why are low rise bars preferred on cruisers? What am I missing? For me…due to geometry, low rise bars reduce control by making the front end of the bike heavy and create over steer. My perspective comes from racing 20” bikes with GT Pro bars. Any input would be appreciated.

I have a GT pro bars to but I am girl

Answer #2

BMX are used primary on tracks that involve jumping and the low rise are better suited to adsorb the impact of the landing, High rise are more for show, where low are designed for competition.
