Best small chainring for bmx? 3 pc. Crank?

Hi, I have been bmx’n for a while now but although im using a good frame and everything else, im still riding on a mongoose 3 peice crank with a mongoose large chainring (sprocket). What are the best brands of three peices and chainrings I can get while working with a very low budget? And also do good 3 pc. Cranks require you to use sealed “bottom bracket” bearings? I have always used regular ball bearings, long story short, what is the best setup for a bmx crank and chainring? Also im am a heavier person (about 225-240 lbs.)

I forgot to mention…an American size bottom bracket should be fine…I’m not sure about the Euro size.

I may have some useful insight on the bottom bracket portion of your question. I’m an old school BMXer from the 80’s, back then you could either have ball bearing or sealed bearings on 3 piece cranks. I see no reason why you couldn’t find or order a ball bearing bottom bracket at your local bike shop.
