Why am I gaining weight if I hardly eat?

I am gaining so much weight and I hardly eat so I want to know what is going on and why am I getting so fat

when you don’t eat or eat little or skip meals your metabolism slows down which will make you gain weight instead of losing it. also if you have high sodium intake and drink a lot of water that will make you retain water.

well, it could be some metabolic disorder or hormonal deficiency, stuff like polycystic ovary syndrome (if you’re a girl, that is). When you seem to be gaining weight despite of what and how you are eating, it’s most probably hormone or metabolism related (diabetes, insulin resistance etc). However, the impression of putting on weight is often a subjective opinion- problems with self-image usually lay at the root of any eating disorder. You should honestly answer yourself these questions: -do others also think I’m putting on weight? -when I weigh myself, has the weight really drastically increased since the last time? (so we’re not talking about 2-4 pounds difference but a real shift)

Finally, have you started using any new medication? Many meds can cause that side effect, ie asthma inhalers, anti-histamines and so on.

well, it cud be the fact that your not eating that much. when you dont eat a lot, your body stores the fat so you will be able to live! you might also be bloated or something- it cud be a growth spurt to. when you grow you often have an appetite and eat a lot! but I don’t know if your drinking a lot of water that is also a possibility!

it could be water-weight. of course it could be that hardly eating has screwed your metabolism, so you gain very easily.
