I went to go watch shutter islnad yesterday and I was really into it paying attention the whole time buut the last parts lost me!! Someone please explain this to me... So was he the manic one at the end was it all an experiment? I don't know

yea...he was crazy. the head warden dude had all the other people or workers playing along. including "chuck". edward kept having relapses. there were times when he was stuck in his fantasy then he would come back to reality.

im relieved I did understand the concept of the movie overall it was a very good movie not too many leave you htinking after...
