Who has a good idea for a tattoo dealing with remembrance?

I want to get a tattoo on my wrist for my grandpa Joe, 6/18/1918-1/24/2009. He was volunteer firefighter and was in World War 2. If you have any ideas, share them :)

since its pernament, get a symbol that represents him like a chinease symbol for fire. or get a flame that says sumthing unique in it, like fighter

maybe the fire-fighter’s logo. a little flame with his initials? I like the chinese symbol for fire idea.

don’t get it until you are 100% certain. live with the idea for a few months.

my dad died 5 years ago and I’ve been wanting to get a tattoo for him for a while (on my wrist too XD) but I keep changing my mind about what to get. so I figured I should wait until im totally a hundred percent sure. I would think of an idea and absolutely looove it for like 3 months then think OMG WTF WAS I THINKING IM SO GLAD I DIDN’T GET THAT! hahahaha. so yeah, wait a while.
