Who had the right to vote in 1820?
Before 1828, only white adult male land wners could vote. However, when Andrew Jackson became president in 1828, he extended the right to vote to all white adult males, not just the ones with land.
I doubt you really care anymore since you posted this over 4 years ago, but I thought I’d tell you anyway since I have all of my US history notes next to me. Be well, fellow citizen.
