Who do I tell about Beating kids?

One of my best friends, her dad is really abusive to her and her sibling. I told her to tell an adult but she refused. I want to tell someone for the good of her and her little brother and sister but I swore not to. Should I tell or not?

Answer #1

If your truely care about your friend, then you need to break her promise. If you were a real friend you would rish your friendship and tell someone. Honestly, she’ll probably be angry at you, but she WILL forgive you sooner or later. Because if you don’t do something and something happens to ger your going to feel guity for the rest of your life, and if your scared to help her on your own, as your mom or a responsible adult. Go to the police, guidence councelor, or even DSS. You don’t want your friend or her siblings her, please do the right thing and tell someone.

Answer #2

Children services will not put her in foster care unless they have an extremely good reason too. They will order her father to take parenting and anger management classes. Call the local police.

You may have swore not too but it is for a friend and if I needed to break a promise to possibly save a friends life then I would do it. Call the local police and they will handle it.

Answer #3

Talk to a teacher or a counselor at school…You’re going to need more than a verbal account from your friend. A teacher/counselor has more pull with the authorities…they are legally bound to report abuse.

Answer #4

Yeah, you need to call the police. Your friend will be angry at you and mad for breaking the promise but this could save her life. Abuse victims often commit suicide, or get a mental problem and cannot lead a purposeful life.
