who can help? my cat, I need help fast! like ASAP?

my cat did something to his arm, im not sure what, but every couple hours it swells even more right now its the size of my fist and im afraid its going to burst or something. I dont get my check until friday. and his vet office is not open until jan. 1st. I need help does any one know what I can do. I hate seeing him in so much pain…

yeah I guess, :( I guess thats all I can do thanks. hopefully he gets better I dont know what I would do without him.

you can call other vets and see what they can do , tell them it’s an emergency , maybe they’ll take him in for you :)

He most likely has an abcesss…(cat’s get them from fighting)…it’s probably from getting bit. What he needs is anti-biotics (and draining)…it is a VERY VERY painful condition…You’re going to have to take him to a Vet. His treatment is very “run of the mill”…and not hugely expensive.

Phrannie is right, if it is a abcess it needs to “pop” it is filled with puss and causing him pain. see if you can get it to drain, if you can then place warm compresses on his leg about 2-3 times a day. Keep the wound open. If it is HARD it may be something else and I would not mess with it till you see the vet.
