No, sometimes an older man dates a younger girl without her having those intentions. You are generalizing.

There’s two ways to view this.

One, an older man dating a younger girl, as mentioned above, which does not in any way constitute prostitution.

Two, a young woman who dates an older, wealthy man for the sole purpose of infringing upon his benefits, in which case, I agree that it falls into the same general category as prostitution.

Yeah, I can definetly see how you would see that. But I disagree. From the outside looking in, it looks like he’s her Sugar Daddy and pimpin’ her around and all that stuff. And maybe it’s true, maybe it’s not. But what if they’re just in a passionate loving relationship? Or maybe she’s his ‘ho. Most of my boyfriends are a little bit older than me. But that doesn’t mean that they’re marketing me out on the street. When you get down to it, all a Sugar Daddy is anyway is a man who provides for his girl/family. I think that’s how it was originally thought of. But I think modern age has perverted the saying to include pimps and ho’s.

When was the last time you saw a girl date an old man who was poor? Who had no material benefits? Just sayin’.

A wife who is supported by her husband who has an expectation of having sex with her could be considered a prostitute by extrapolation.

One could argue that the main purpose of the marital relationship isn’t sex and spouses do not support each other for sex; that is just one aspect of the relationship, ipso facto it isn’t prostitution.

A Kept Woman is the common term for a woman who is financially supported by her lover mainly for purposes of sex. Who is to say at what point a relationship becomes prostition? In a long term relationship the parties could develop genuine affection for each other. A number of “kept women” have claimed that their relationship is in fact not sexual. Their supporter or sugar daddy only kept them for non-sexual companionship.
