White boxer

Hello, thank you for your kind response ref getting a boxer dog, I actually meant a 14 week old pup, think you spotted the mistake, will this age be ok to introduce into the house, or will it be harder for him to adjust to mu routine, the fact he’s been with his brother s and mum and dad so long after the 8 week stage just worries me. That and will he have been socialised properly, be used to traffic etc. Its such a big decision I just don’t want to get it wrong any help would be appreciated thank zoe

A 14 Week old puppy is a good time to get a puppy

He’s still plenty young enough to socialize to other people and other dogs (I suggest a puppy obedience class)…These classes come already filled with strange dogs and strange people…the exact ingredients you need to properly socialize a pup. Also, since Boxers are exhuberent dogs…by that I mean highly active & highly intelligent, you will need him to know the basics…sit, down, stay…and be able to walk nicely on a leash…all things that make having an active partner in life easier to manage.

At 14 weeks, he’s just about prime for obedience. He is still a VERY young pup…the best part is at this age, they have the ability to hold urine (once housetrained)…where an 8 week old pup, HAS to be taken out a lot, since they don’t have the bladder capacity nor neurological ability to hold it.

There are many, many breeders who will not let a pup go until it is 12 weeks old…you go get this little guy and enjoy yourself…quit worrying…he will be fine!! :)
