Where to learn to skateboard

I recently got a skateboard but I don’t really know where to go to learn to skate well. There is nowhere nearby where I am allowed to skate except for a skatepark but I dont want to go there until I can do a few tricks. There isnt enough space in my house or garden either…and I could just do it in the street but there a few cars and again its pretty embarrasing because im not very good yet..does anyone have any tips on where to go?

Answer #1

skate anywhere, part of being a REAL skater, is not giving a f*ck. but that takes time, hah you can just buy a skateboard and be a skater.

Answer #2

all you need right now is some concrete were you can practice rolling around tricks wont come after many hours of prasctice just rolling around and getting used to standing, moving, turning, balancing, ect look around or search on google to see if theres a skatepark in your suberb if you want go back to it when not so many people are there and practivce rolling parking lits are also good as are any basketball/netball courts if there out in the open and the gravel isnt too rough grass is only good if your going to practice ollies but dont want to hurt yourself too much, and dont want to move if one of your friends has a concrete driveway ask if you can practice there
