Where is icarly's mom?

Its a bit of a dumb question; I know. But I was watching icarly today, and noticed she lives with her brother and no parents, so if anybody knows, what happened to them?

from wikipedia - In the pilot episode “iPilot”, it is said her father is in the Navy (in a submarine 3 miles underwater), leaving her 26-year old brother Spencer, who is also her legal guardian, in charge of her (the status of her mother is unknown).

It’s is like in the show Hannah Montanahh she died I’m pretty shure. The only reason I know this is becouse I baby sit littler kids

I know her father is in the army, but I have no idea about her mom. That’s kind of funny. Maybe it’s one of those ‘unmentionable’ TV things, like how nobody mentions Clark Kent seriously resembles Superman. =/
