Hmm, more medical advice from the untrained.

Anonymous Closeted Individual, did you actually read the poster’s question? It’s about the Birth Control Patch, not ovulation. The Birth Control Patch will make you abort your baby if conception occurs. It isn’t “natural to lose those”. The Patch isn’t natural, it’s synthetic, man made. And of course you won’t know, no where did I say that the Patch will warn you in advance before it dumps your unborn child.

Again, did you read the question? Are you medically trained? We’re here to help these people. So how does firing off an incorrect , poorly thought out and totally unrelated answer help the questioner?

Think next time before you answer. Really think.

a women only bleeds because she ovulates and the egg or ovam produced is not fertilised by male sperm so what those injections do is just stop your bodies ovulation system so ovams arent produced… therefore you dont bleed

hope this helps you understand

Answer #3

The hormones released by the implant stop the uterus making a lining - which is what is shed when you have your period. It is not needed because you are not ovulating.

Answer #4

Wow, talk about “I’m not a doctor, but I play one on the Internet”.

People, we are dealing with life and death here, don’t go handing around advice like you’re handing out candy! Woahhh, I’m not a Rock Star who likes 69, but I have been trained professionally in pre-hospital medicine.

The Birth Control Patch keeps women from bleeding because it attempts to prevent implantation of a baby in the uterine wall by thinning that wall, which is what sloughs off during your period. You can most certainly still ovulate using the patch, and there fore you can most certainly get pregnant using the patch. If that happens and you conceive, the patch will try to prevent your baby from attaching to your uterine wall.

In other words, it will abort your baby.

Click on the “Ethical Consideration” link, unless you’re heartless, it will raise and eye brow.

Answer #5

It isn’t an ethical concern at all. There are countless fertilized eggs that don’t get implanted. Its natural to lose those. The comparison to abortion is just absurd. You can lose a fertilized egg without knowing a bit about ever having it.
