Where can I download good, free scriptwriting software?

I would like to start writing a script but, number 1, I haven’t much cash, and 2, I have no idea to write a script without software. Any ideas?

Well, the best thing is a good programming language book, but the next best thing is to google for programming tutorials. If you’re new to programming, I would start with Visual Basic, but if you are really good with math and don’t mind complex thoughts, give C++ a shot. Just go to google and type “VB Tutorials” or “C++ Tutorials” and start clicking! As far as basic programming goes, I love to use Notepad++ for any vbscripts I create - otherwise, go and google “Visual Basic Express” and “C++ Express” both of these are provided by microsoft and are completely free for personal use! You’ll have to give a little personal information and an e-mail address, but I’ve been using their software for years and have never gotten any SPAM.

Give it a whirl and see what you can create!
