When am I allowed to leave?

Well, me and my mum moved to Ireland from England against my will when I was a kid. I’m now in my early teens and I still hate it here. I just want to go back to my family (on my dad’s side) and get away from the small, crappy town that I live in and my mum knows it but she doesn’t care!

When I was little, my mum used to be very depressed and said that it was because of living in England. My mum also said that she’d like to see her family members here and that it was selfish of me to moan about it but she never visits her family or friends here so that excuse is bs.

I want to live in England with my dad but my mum has custody (I think) and she wont let me. I want to leave here when I’m 16 but that also means leaving my school. Can I do this?

Please help!

You should be able to. It is your choice who you live with make sure she knows how you feel, that you don’t want to get in the way of her happiness but you also don’t like it there. Tell her how you feel nad if she doesn’t let you still tell your dad maybe he can get costody somehow or oyu could ask togot live with a friend over there.
