We used to have 4 female dogs, They all got pregnant at once. I was the one who “gave birth” to all of them. In total, there was I think…4 in the toy fox terrior, 2 in the furry chihuahua, 4 in the other furry chihuahua, and 1 in the short haired chihuahua. The small furry chihuahua had only 1 death in her litter of puppies at the time of birth, it was really sad =( It died about an hour after being born. The toy fox’s puppies all lived, the bigger furry haired chihuahua’s puppies all lived, but one died a year later from valley fever =( . Over all, all my dog’s puppies were born safely. After those times, our smaller furry haired chiahua did almost need a c-section because she had two puppies inside her, and one was HUGE and the other was tiny tiny tiny. When they were both born the doctor said they will probably both die because the little wasn’t nutritioned because the big one ate everything, and the big one had a nasal blockage. They both lived, and to this day we still have the small one. He’s sooo precious! I delivered all of them and I was 16 at the time, and they all turned out beautiful, and wonderful, except for the 1 out of …14?! that died. That’s right, only 1 out of 14 puppies died. None of them had a C-section either, but that doesn’t mean anything because a lot of chihuahua’s need c-sections =( and most die…

yes, they are little dogs and may not be able to get the puppy out due to the size of there pelvix area. I have a chihuhua and I worked at a vet hospital. Her first litter she had 3 babies here at home, I had to help her with the sac’s and using a bulb syringe to get the fluid out of there mouths. I did tons of research and had my doctors lined up in case I needed help. Her second litter she was pregnant with one puppy, (note I got x-rays done to see how many and the size) She needed a c-setion. $650.00 that is what a c-section cost for one puppy. YOU DO NOT make money on breeding if you are a GOOD breeder and get the vaccines done, x-rays and any other treatment your dog may need. This is not easy where nature takes it’s coures, The course could be Death. Better to get her spayed and lessen her chances of certian types of cancer and a better dog. OR Talk to your vet and find out what they say
