What's a good recipe for baking something without using an oven?

Answer #1

Theres a biscuit cake that you can make which is delicious! You simply line plain chocolate biscuits that aren’t too sweet in a container/rectangal pan and coat with whipped cream. Add another layer of biscuit and cream on top. Depending on the depth of the container your using, your layers will vary. Leave your very top coat to be cream and add some chocolate powder or fruit or anything you prefer. Store it in the fridge for a hour.

So you have to buy chocolate biscuits? :l

The word “baking” implies placing it in the oven…what you’re looking for is “no-bake” recipes. This site has a good variety: http://funadvice.com/r/14uqk6jca8h

Ohhh my. No-bake cheesecake is AMAZING. Here is the recipe I always use:

1 ready made graham cracker crust 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese 1/2 cup sugar 1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip Fruit topping (optional)

Blend cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip. Again, blend until smooth. Pour mixture into ready made crust. Chill at least 2 hours.

It seems too simple, but it tastes great. For the fruit topping usually I buy the canned cherry pie filling. It’s great as a topping.

In any case, I got this recipe here: http://funadvice.com/r/14uqp83jfsm

are you just without an oven, but have gas or electric hob? but if you have no cooking facilities whatsoever you could try rice krispie cakes. break up pieces of good quality chocolate and put in a bowl, then in a larger bowl put boiling water and place the bowl with the chocolate inside. be very careful not to let the water go into the chocolate. leave for a few minutes mixing occaisionally until the chocolate has melted. the smaller the pieces the quicker it will melt. then mix in the rice krispies and with a tablespoon fill up cake cases and then leave in the fridge for a while to set. great for kids parties. you can also dip marshmellows in the chocolate too as an alternative. if you do have a hob let me know and i’ll tell you how to make toffee ones.

wow, that sounds so damn yummy & so simple to make. TY for the recipe. I just wrote it down.

If i may add something to it…you can sprinkle some nuts on top or lightly coconut shreds. It adds a bit of flavor. ;P

It is! I always make it in Summer. Your welcome =). Anything can be added to it. I love it with fresh strawberries.

Peanut butter balls are easy to make. You just take some peanut butter, mix in some rice crispies, add a little vanilla, roll them into balls, and then roll the balls in icing sugar. Put them in the fridge to cool for an hour or so.
