Whats causing these menstrual changes?

Hello darlings:) Im in need of some help. I’ve been on depo provera birth control shot for about 10 mounths now and my boyfriend and I are sexually active :] but I’ve been fitting with my mom about getting me off the shot beacuse of the thousands of nasty side effects its been giving my body, I hate it. Well any ways one of the biggest issues I have is constant constant spotting, I mean I wouldn’t even go out without a pantie liner on cause the chance of me making a mess is like 98%. Well suddenly everything stopped no more spotting, no brown discharged, no pink or even red, nothing. And theres been nothing for about three weeks now? Theres two things that could be causing this.. One, im over due for my shot, my mom finally decided to take me off it and never took me in for my shot… Or two its just finally starting to work the way id wanted it to, as in no more periods. I cant remember the last time I went in for my shot but I’m thinking, me being over due is a greater possibility, this worries me beacuse the last time I had sex with my boyfriend was about 3 weeks ago? Eeek.

So im asking for advice or maybe just opinions ? I dont know exactly what im looking for but im a tad bit worried so any sort of help would be so wonderful=]]]

Thank you so much for taking your time to read this=]

Love, Ferdinand.

Hey! I would suggest you call in your doctor’s office where you got the shot and ask if you’re due for one. If you’re noticing no more side effects it could be that the shot is wearing off and its time to get another one. If you were taking this for 10 months I don’t think you have a chance of getting pregnant because usually when you get off the pill it takes a while for your body to start functioning normally again. Again thats just my opinion, but ya never know! I would just call in to see if you need another shot and if you do, then try other modes of contraception if you’re noticing too many side effects with this one.
