What would you say ?

The Bible verse of John 3 : 16 says it all - So If Jesus were to ask you, “Why should I let you into heaven?” What would you say?

Answer #1

“jimahl where is your statute everyone as “righteous” as you has a statue somewhere.”

I keep it on my mantle.

You seem to be a little rattled there reverend. What’s the matter, a little logic is shattering your fantasy? Do you really believe this loving god of yours is so vain, that as a requirement to get into heaven, you must believe and adore him? That goes against every thing christ supposedly taught about forgiveness. And if this is all a test, I will gladly fail rather than be with any thing that cruel and manipulative. Did you ever think that maybe the test is to see who would actually believe god would cast good people into hell, and those who did think that he was really that evil are the ones to actually go to hell. Better watch out, you might be on the wrong side of the fence.

Answer #2

…how is that respectful?

Answer #3

He shouldn’t need a reason.

Christianity is hypocritical.

Maybe the Bible is the word of Satan, sending people to Hell is evil.

I don’t understand why people would want to believe in christianity, and that people must accept YOUR religion, it’s arrogant.

It’s offensive that many christians think that anyone outside of their religion, that hasn’t accepted their messiah, is hell bound. I find it offensive that people even believe in hell.

It’s the 21st century. Forget about the Bible, forget about christianity already.

Answer #4

…you would actually TALK to him in ‘’Ye Olde’’ English? -__-

Answer #5

First I dont think that He would ask that, but if He did, I would say something like, “Because I love you and have tried to live my life showing that love to thee through my service of others and my family. But since thou knowest all things, you know why better than I do.”

Answer #6

“…So If Jesus were to ask you, “Why should I let you into heaven?” What would you say?…”

I would say: “You got me Jesus… never thought that you existed. I have dedicated a very significant part of my life to a serious professional study of your case, but nevertheless, it all seemed so unreal and impossible, and the evidence for what your faithfull claimed was always missing. So… please… YOU tell me why you should let me in Heaven… you seem to have a better view on the reality of things than I have after all…” And if the Bible was right…, I guess he would eject me into eternal torment… “Sh*t!”

But so far…, hhhmmm… not very likely…

Answer #7

“Would jimahl let a poor beggar into his house, if all his life he’d doubted Jimahl’s existence, and was a known terrorist ? good job God’s not human.”

you’re right, it’s a good thing God is not human… any higher being wouldnt make ridiculous statements that made no sense… where did terrorist come into the picture? I know it is hard, but Bush is gone… let it go…

Answer #8

“Would jimahl let a poor beggar into his house, if all his life he’d doubted Jimahl’s existence, and was a known terrorist ? “

So, franklyn, you are equating a good person, who has done good works his entire life and just does not believe with a terrorist?

oh, what a sweet little christian you are…

Answer #9

If there was a heaven:

“Because if you send me to Hell, you’ll only be proving my point.”

Answer #10

I would argue that Adam and Eve were wrongly evicted from the Garden of Eden. Eve was tricked by the serpent and Adam coerced by Eve. Ipso Facto no original sin and all of mankind should be saved. Needless to say, if God exists and doesn’t have a sense of humor I’m in big trouble.

Answer #11

Would jimahl let a poor beggar into his house, if all his life he’d doubted Jimahl’s existence, and was a known terrorist ? good job God’s not human. Franklyn.

Answer #12

Well I would say to Jesus, “ I lived the best life I could with the cards Your Father dealt me, they were lousy cards, but better than most, and that’s what kept me going till the end of the game, I didn’t cheat, I might have bluffed but I did’nt lie, I followed your rule, was called a fool, confessed to my sin, so please let me in? Franklyn.

Answer #13

I would say: Because I was a good person who did good deeds.

And if that isn’t good enough for him, then he can have heaven to him self, I would want nothing to do with him.

If he actually does exist, I doubt he is a vain, egotistical sob who would cast someone into hell for the sole reason of not believing he existed, especially since there was not one shred of evidence. And if he is that cruel, I will gladly take hell. Why would anyone want to be near someone that evil?

What do you think he would say to someone like me amblessed?

Answer #14

‘’…because I can show you the RIGHT way to make a Bible…’’

Answer #15

jimahl, another spot on answer.
