What to say or do about this? Please help!

Well there is this guy in my classes and we had started being friends this year. We’ve known each other for years and have been friends on and off but we really started being better friends this year. Well just the other day he asked me if I liked him and I told him that I used to but not any more. Well we still got along a little while after that but just today when him, me and my other friends we working on a poster for school. And I found this clipping out of a magazine to use for our poster and I went up to him and my other friends and said,” Hey how about we put this on the poster” and he said to me,” No we already have something like that and please go away”. And I was so shocked that he said that that I just stood there for a minute and then I went and sat down somewhere else. Because he used to always want me around and now I don’t know what to do because I didn’t even do nothing wrong?

Well, I don’t think it should be too hard to figure out. But it’s not your fault at all, you told him the truth that you didn’t like him anymore. Maybe he took it a little hard because he liked you. So it may have been a bad reaction to a bad rejection. He might have liked you a lot, or he just took your rejection the wrong way. I’’m probably contradicting myself somewhere along my words, but what I’m saying is, he liked you a lot and didn’t expect a No from you, you know? So, it may take some time, but offer your friendship instead.
