What if my father comes around after the personal protection

Hi this is goodgirl124, I would like to know what to do if my father starts coming around after the Personal Protection expires in June? I’ll tell you all the story behind this: Well, back in 2005, I moved out into a apartment on my own, then, my father starts fondling, touching, kissing me on the lips, and ect. Since I don’t want to go in anymore detail with. Now that I’m 23, I need him to understand that I’m not that little girl that I once was. I put this Personal Protection againest him because he was doing to much fondling, and other inapropreiate behavior. When I turned 21, I went to the Egles club a private club in Michigan here, and I had my first drink which was a Kalua and Cream. Of course my father bought it for me. I had two and a half drinks, and I was on a high. I was hung over the next morning. My secend part to this question is, What should I do if he comes around after this P.P.O expires and I go the bars and drink again? I loathe alcohol. Both parrents do not know that I changed religions. I’m Lds/Mormon. And, if I start going out drinking with him again, how am I going to aproach this to my Branch President of my Lds Church? I’m rael nervous and afraid t otell him for, I might either disapoint him or possiblely be excommunicated from hte Church. So, let me know.

Hi,

You should make the decision to either let the Personal Protection Order expire or see if you can renew it/put another one up.

If you let it expire, you are putting yourself open to the risk that he could harm you again. However, you are an adult now and should be able to stand up for yourself…say NO to the alcohol if you think it will put you in a bad situation.

Good luck.

It sounds like you need to keep away from your father. Why be around something like that? Renew your PPO.

Also if you know drinking could be a problem for you, then DONT PUT YOURSELF AROUND IT.
