What should I use a sewing manikin or my body?

I would like to make a dress or myself and I was wondering if it would be easier to use a sewing manikin or my body ?

Mannequin is best, just take yuit exact measurements and adjust the mannequin’s settings. This way you can pin things or tape patterns to the mannequinn. You can’t pin things to your own body. Also you have a higher chance of ripping your dress if you make it on you. Just consider the little things.

measure your body. get that material and measure that so itll fit 9itll b bigger then the mannequin) and when your done use a clip or pin to hold in it place on the mannequin cus it might b bigger.

Well I’d say the mannequin because sewing it directly on your body, you might mess up. If you get the mannequin just make sure it’s the correct size. And to see how it looks like just put it on once in a while to check it out.

your body…unless your body looks like the maniquin I suggest you use your body…and that way you can also see how you look with the clothes on…hope I elped you
