Im a vegetarian but my friend loves his meat. He is coming over next month and I want to cook a 3 course meal preferably with duck…his fave…I just dont know what to do…help please!!

Cooking an entire fowl, whether duck or chicken, is one of the easiest meals you could take on. The entire process is rub the outside with a bit of olive oil, season the skin and body cavity thoroughly with generous salt and pepper, and toss it in the oven. Done and done. Take it out when the juices run clear, about 2-3 hours, depending on how hot your oven is and how big the bird is.

If you want to fancy it up a bit, shove some citrus and herbs in the body cavity or slide some herb-butter pats in between the skin and the meat. Baste it every half-hour or so, and you’re good to go.

Just remember to let the meat rest for at LEAST 15 minutes after cooking before cutting into it. If you do not let the proteins relax, the juices will not reincorporate into the meat, and they’ll all just spill out onto the floor as soon as you cut it.

the way to a mans heart is through his stomach… so they say lol

you cant go wrong with steak, chips and largar… steak 1 chips 2 largar 3 theres your 3 course meal ahahha

ok seriously: being a vegetarian I take it you will not want to cook a ducks or anyother animals bloody courpse?

what about making a nice veggie stir fry with a nice salad to start then a desert with no animal products to finish…

if your that intent on pleasing him then you really cant go wrong with a nice peice of steak with chips and salad

:)

Since your friend prefers duck, and cooking an entire duck might be more than you want to tackle, try fixing just the duck breast. You can grill it outside if you want. Here’s a link to some duck breast recipes.
