What're some ways to bring up the topic of birth control to my mom?
I’m with this guy right now and he is my first real boyfriend. We’ve already done a few sexual thing together but never had actual sex. I want brith control just in case he and I decide to take things to the next level. I want to talk to my mom about getting birth control but I don’t know how to approach the topic without her thinking I’m actually having sex.
Just explain to her that it is going to happen someday and probably sooner than later and if she does not take action now there are some dire consequences for being a negligent parent.
If she still does not help you, I know in Texas you can go buy your own but I don’t know the laws where you live. Look into it!
when I brought it up to my mom she flipped.Just let her know your going to do what you want now that your old enought to handle stuff like this and tell her you’d rather be safe than sorry
if you havent had sex yet tell her that say something like that you havent had sex yet but would like to be safe and be on birth control just incase you do it in the future she should at least want you to be having safe sex if you decide to have sex
