What colleges accept people with disabilities?

Given that it is illegal to discriminate based on disability, plenty of people get into colleges. My friend has a learning disability (she’s getting her masters) and two of my professors (have doctorates) use wheelchairs. So a disability does not stop one from doing anything. However, having a disability is not going going to excuse low test scores or bad grades… So regardless of your disability, if you cannot write well, or have poor scores, colleges will not accept you.

if your smart and work hard they will accept you. if you didnt get a job or into college soley because you have a speech inpediment then you could sue for discrimanation. and colleges wont treat you didnt from anyone else. you would have the same expected of you as everyone else attending. your on your own in college pretty much

Colleges in the U.S. will take any one if they’re smart and work hard enough. Speech problems will get you a grant in a lot of cases look at Steven Hawkins the man cant talk with out a computer, no offense. He’s one of the smartest men in the world so a little impediment is nothing. Plus they cant turn you away and they will do a ton to help you over come or find a way around it.
