what on earth is so great about the twlight series?

Seriously I have had tonnes of people tell me to read the twlight books. And were all in a happy fit about the new moon tralier. I have yet to find the reason why the series is apparently so great I was a bit curious about it for a bit so when my little brother(who is 12) got the movie I said if I liked it I would read the books.

During the whole movie I was like “is this all the colour or is the tv broken?” and “vampires are not like this”. I was not impressed with the movie it seemed too move to quickly romantically. My older brother(Age 21) and I(age 18) just laughed the whole time. like the point the girl is like “I know what you are” and then there is a small gap of time. then she said vampire. ‘or crap she found out I was gay’ he said imiating the boy(edward I think) and my little brother was “shut up your ruinig the moment”

I like stories of vampires but not once before have I heard of a vampire sparkling in the sun o.o what the hell aren’t they supposed to burn. I was also wondering when Edward was going to turn into a bat plus vampires are not that magical they have super strength and can fly but I don’t remeber them being able to read minds or see the future or anything.

and the romance was way to fast I personally like waiting to build suspense and stuff.

What is so fantastic about the twlight series that makes all girls ages 11 to 18 saying it’s the most awesome book ever and if you read it you would love it. I read a bit of the novel(my little brother said the book was like 10 times better than the movie) and I didn’t think it was that great at all.
