What leads people to go to hell?

How would anyone be sent to hell? From what the Bible says and Christian views please..

Answer #1

The ‘end times’ stuff is patent nonsense easily refuted by the Bible itself <<< - if able, please send me those verses also, thanks !!

Answer #2

What leads them - rejection when they’re presented the truth, their own choice - God being pure cannot even look upon sin - man, even in his very best state is a sinner - on judgement day, either: your sins are covered by the blood-shed sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross (salvation and only salvation - being a nice person isn’t good enough - even at our very best, we are but filthy rags), and remembered no more or they are not (your sins are not covered) - where God’s great love comes into play is, He provided a WAY (Jesus) for us not to perish and live in Heaven with Him (He certainly didn’t have to do this but did because He loved us so) - if you read carefully John 3:16, this is exactly what it says - each person will either accept or reject, you must decide for yourself and yes, it’s so important, it has eternal consequences - He Loves you and wants you to accept God’s free gift to man - Jesus…Hope this helps !!

Answer #3

“but those who don’t see the bridge (jesus) for whever reason, well when they attempt to cross this gap they fall into hell.”

Why would God create humans capable of reasoning that he doesn’t exist? And please don’t say free will. If we are to believe that Adam and Eve’s sin cursed the entire human race with sin and hell as an automatic destiny unless we believe in Jesus, then there is no free will decision involved. If it was truly a free decision, then God would allow us to not follow him and have no consequences for it.

I want to know why God would allow a person to reason and think and eventually conclude that he doesn’t exist, as millions of people have throughout history.

Answer #4

Just a side note: Only about 40% of all humans alive today have ever heard the name Jesus. In Matthew 28:19-20 He tells us to spread the word unto all nations. The Bible also promises us that once all nations have heard, then will our Lord come. I have given my views about those already dead, and until every nation has heard the name of Jesus, people still have a chance. Once the last nation (and by that I mean each and every people group that speaks in a different toungue or has different beliefs) has heard His name and made the choice for or against Him, then he will come.

Answer #5

people go to hell when they choose death and not life, simply put. sin is the separation of God and man, resulting in death (not natural death, but spiritual death, in which would send you to hell). The wages of sin is death, that’s what is repaid for it. Fortunately, the free gift of God is life. there is a Way to get back to God. That Way is Jesus, He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Jesus is what reconnects us back to God. Without Him we can have no relationship with God. This is what Jesus died for, so that our relationship with God could be reestablished. People go to hell when they do not accept the free gift of God: His Son. That is the only way to get forgiven of the sins, we alll commit. that is what keeps you from going to hell. so, it’s not sin that sends you to hell, it’s when the person does not repent and get forgiveness for that sin. it leads to death

Answer #6

Well, Matthew 16:28 and Matthew 24:29-35 both seem to say pretty clearly that the people Jesus was talking to would apparently be alive during the end times.

And when, in Hebrews 10:37, it uses phrases like “in a little while” and “he who is coming will come and not tarry” I have a hard time believing the author was referring to a point over 2000 years into the future.

1 Peter 4:7 is another one in which the author clearly seems to believe the “end of all things is at hand”.

In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, the event Paul is describing is something he obviously believes will happen when some of his contemporaries would still be alive.

There are many more examples, some from places other than the Bible, of early Christians who believed they were living in the end times and that Rome was the beast of Revelations. Every generation has believed they were living in the end times. So far, they are all wrong.

Answer #7

We can say with ALL certainity, Christians are the leading cause of countless people coming to the saving knowledge of Salvation through Jesus Christ !!

Answer #8

a lot depends on what you believe. Is jesus the Messiah? Yes. There are over one hundred seperate prophecies describing the Messiah, and only one person can claim to meet them all. That person is Jesus the Christ of Nazareth. As for how you get to heaven, you accept that you have sinned and need His blood to cover it. Christians do not get to heaven by good works. We are written in the Lamb’s book of life, which means when God sees us at Judgement he sees not us but Jesus. While you are judged for your works in heaven, to get to heaven all you have to do is accept that it is impossible to get to heaven by yourself and believe that Jesus came speciically to save You!

Those who have never heard of Jesus I have reason to believe will find out in Hades, which is described as the waiting place for the dead. If you read after Jesus’ death in the gospels it states that Jesus broke the gates of Hades after being there for three days. I imagine anyone already dead saw Him there and spread the word there as we do here. That is my own personal belief however, and I feel that only goes for those who have never heard of Him. If you die after rejecting Him even once, I fear that it is not pleasant.

I hope this helps!

Answer #9

hell is for demon/satan worshipers and nonbelievers of Christ and who havent asked Jesus into there heart

Answer #10

I quote a verse that proves the end times nonsense is ..well, nonsense.. and no less than 2 posters ask me for verses that prove it!

Communication with the faithful is truly without any hope.

Answer #11

Not asking jesus to come into your heart and be your savior and living a life with out him

with out forming a relationship with him

God knows every ones heart and who is pure and who isnt

Answer #12

You do not go to hell for sin. You go to hell for not recognizing Jesus as your savior. He cleans away all sin. You will not go to hell for not ever hearing of Jesus. It says in the Bible that until everyone in the world has heard of Jesus then the rapture can not come. Everyone will hear and then it is there choice to want the Lord or to turn away from him.

Answer #13

I agree totally with Amblessed on the End Times. The bible does teach us to be ready for the return of Christ. We are to be prepared, and the bible tells us what to expect. We are not living in the dark. We have the light, all around us.

Hell was created for the devil and his angels,

Heaven is the home of the redeemed.

Unredeemed man, will have no part in heaven, if you believe the bible.

Answer #14

I believe that you choose wheter or not you go to heaven or hell. If anyone is framillier with the ophera Don Giovanni, Don Giovanni was a dreadful sinner, but was given one last chance to repent when he was about to die. He refused and was sent to hell. Its only when you sinned and thought it was right that you go to hell. Or at least thats what I think.

Answer #15

Let me paint you picture.

Theres a land and on this land theres a huge like gap (hell) humans are one side (earth)and God is on the other (heaven)

Humans are trying to get to God but without a bridge they just cant get around the gap (hell) God saw this and was like..well its not good so he sent down a bridge (jesus) and whoever believes that bridge is there can cross the gap and get onto the other side, but those who don’t see the bridge (jesus) for whever reason, well when they attempt to cross this gap they fall into hell.

See?

Answer #16

Thanks: Can you send me the verses to refute them? I will have to study them.

By the by, it wasn’t in the western civilizations in biblical times because we didn’t come to America until way into the teens, you know. Also those statistics come from the Christian and Missionary Alliance. You can look that up. We just a had a missionary over from Cambodia and he had a lot of interesting facts like that. I guess each people group is seperated by each group with different ideas, different religions, or different languages. It was pretty cool

Answer #17

I am a bit more liberal about this. I think it has to do with how you feel more comfortable. If you aren’t at peace with God’s rules then you may just end up going to hell because you can’t face heaven. I believe God to be more loving than just saying “I reject you because you are a sinner”. No. God loves us despite us being sinners. You just wont be able to stand being in His gloriful presence that you send yourself to hell. Do you think those like Jeffery Dahmer the killer who ate his male victims would stand being in the presence of God? No. So I think he would’ve already determined he was going to hell. God allows us to repent before we face heaven so if you do you should still get a chance.

Answer #18

the leading cause of going to hell would be sin

Answer #19

torikeen, according to Paul, Christianity had already been spread all over the world in ancient times:

Colossians 1:6 “All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing…”

The ‘end times’ stuff is patent nonsense easily refuted by the Bible itself.
