What kind of orange cant you eat and how do they look?

We have an orange tree that gives oranges but thelook rough and kind taste like a lemon is this a common tree or is it just a orange tree for decoration?

Answer #1

It’s possible it is only ornamental, meant to be admired for the foliage and flowers, not harvested for its fruit.

Citrus aurantium, or bitter orange, for example, has unpalatable fruit that is not meant for consumption, at least not right off the tree. Some cultures pickle the fruit, and its peels are widely used to make essential oils, but peeling one and eating it wouldn’t be very pleasant.

Bitter orange fruit is also smaller and rougher than oranges you would find in the supermarket.

Answer #2

I dont get what you mean by just for decoration there are no trees that look and taste like oranges but were only put there so you can look at them obviously a home grown orange will taste a bit different to the ones at the stores that are pumped with chemicals
