What is wrong with my Mum, please help?

well my mum has really bad depression (the worst you can get) and she’s on a lot of medication, lately she’s been going like really dopey and she doesn’t move at all, she will just be standing there and her eyes will close and she wont move. I’m getting really scared now incase its something really serious, anyone know what might be wrong? :/

talk to your mum when she is in a sober state- tell her what you love about her and how much she means to you. Take her out to her favourite places. Sounds like she needs a friend or relative to take the time to care about her. Stay positive around her-lighten her heart. Good luck danniii.

She is displaying classic symptoms of depression. There are many good antidepressants, and sometimes it takes a combination of 2 or 3; it can also be trial and error, but don’t give up as they’ll find something that works for her. From the way you’ve described her, it sounds as though her mind is fatigued, a common part of depression. Let her get extra sleep, but then encourage her to do some light tasks around the house. By acting “normal”, she’ll eventually begin to feel “normal” and her depression will eventually go away and she’ll return to her usual self. I’ve been there. Best of luck to her and your entire family.

Answer #3

It could definitely be a chemical or toxicity problem. A lot of people who have depression or anxiety can be helped by changing their diet and detoxifying. She might lack certain vitamins or minerals, or her body could be high in heavy metals. It could also be something like a thyroid disorder. I suggest seeing a naturopathic doctor and also contacting her regular doctor right away. I really hope everything is all right! Don’t EVER give up and best luck to all of you.
