Is anorexia connected to cutting yourself?

Both anorexia and cutting are psychological problems that may be linked. Not all anorexics are cutters, though. Your friend is probably depressed and/or under a lot of pressure and unsure of how to handle herself. Do her a favor and offer her an ear and see if you can get her some professional help.

Anorexia and Cutting are not complete linked as if to say that every anorexic cuts themselves. However, you can develop anorexia through depression which cutting can also be developed from. From you information I would guess that your friend is depressed and needs to get help. try talking to her and convincing her to go and see her family doctor, there she can get the help she needs such as anti-depressents and conselling. I hope your friend gets better soon. x
