is it normal for a cut to still be throbbing 12 hours after the cut?

I you all may have seen I sliced my finger yesturday evening with a very very sharp knife. It sliced about a quater of an inch into the skin. Any ideas on how to stop it from throbbing?

A deep enough cut can throb for a few days after … you just have to wait it out as it heals. If it’s really painful, try some ibuprofen. As long as it isn’t becoming excessively swollen or leaking pus, you have nothing to worry about it.
