I guess the purpose for some people is to have their memories in a book to show off, and for others just because they want their pictures to be organized. Cropping is fixing a pictures edges to make it the size you want. It’s done to make pictures smaller.

I don’t know the rest of the answers. I think printer/copy paper is acid-free. :P
