What is the mass of the neutrino particle?

Answer #1

Hi,

The mass of the neutrino particle is non-zero.

Travelling close to the speed of light, lacking electric charge and able to pass through ordinary matter almost undisturbed, they are extremely difficult to detect. Neutrinos were once thought to have no mass, but they are now known to have a mass; it is simply too small to be determined by currently available measuring methods.

Hope that helps.
