What is the divine?

I read about ‘the divine’ all over religious web pages but can’t seem to figure out what exactly it is, or what people are referring to when they say it.

the divine is the one person in all religions that is the power above all. only people who dont know about someone else’s religion will use the term “the divine” since it means the ultimate power in all religions
