What Gives Humans The Thought They Know Divinity?

The way it really is, is humans are stupid…in many ways mainly we’re so self concerned with our own lives that usaully we cant see past them…another we think so in the box never excepting anything outside…my question really I personally beleive that we are not smart enough to actually even understand after death…so why do we try so hard at something that we will never truelly know until we die…cant we just be content with knowing its a mystery when we die…instead of creating and listening to false documents and false prophets…

I agree that humans are stupid and the reasons you mentioned for this is also valid. If anyone claims that they understand death or what is there after it is obviously lying because no one can know that. But God reveals to us those things that we cannot know. He has showed us what exists after death. That information is now available to mankind not because of their own understanding but because it has been revealed by one who died and and came back from death to tell us about it - Jesus Christ. Now if we say that is foolish it is because we don’t understand. Just like a first grader walks into a lecture class in college and calls it foolish because he does not understand what is being taught.

cant we just be content with knowing its a mystery when we die

How would it feel if our head is crushed under a truck? We can’t exactly know unless we experience that. Shall we be content by know knowing that by trying it out?

divinity can be likened to family hereditary or personalities. If we examine ourselves carefully, its clear that we are reflection of our mom, dad, uncle, granddad etc. In Genesis, it clearly states that unlike all other animals we as human were created in the image and likeness of God. Therefore if our makeup strikingly contrast other animals we clearly should reflect the divinity of God by manifesting his will in our lives. However, if one believes that we evolve rather than undergoing a carefullly plan out process call creation then my answer may not be what you are looking for.

Answer #3

well I believe after you die, you just dont exist anymore(except your corpse, unless you die in a horrible way). just like you didnt exist before you were born, right? just help the world become a better place and teach your kids right from wrong. you know

Answer #4

you know your thoughts are very good on this. your right for some that is the best way but some of us knowing that there is something after death helps us proceed with a good heart. some not so and get overwhelmed there really isnt anything that can be done with socity these days its to late. I think that everyone should go down to the basic thought. good and bad. All religions are based on that alone. either good or bad. be good and you’ll get rewarded and bad you get punished. if im wrong correct me please but I’ve studied a lot of religions and that seems to be the jests of them all. so if you take everything else out which I dont think anything else matters as long as you know your good dont worry about whats to come after death if there is something after death (personally I know there is) but if you dont you believe is something after death then you dont have anything to worry about anyways right.

You SHOULD… but you aren’t content. You’re so scared of the unknown, that you instead decide that you HAVE to have answers. Answers that cannot be confirmed. But you lie to yourself (the worst kind of lying) and claim that they’re true, just for peace of mind.

Answer #6

there are people who fear death and cannot be content with it being the absolute end. Many people fear what is not known, so they try to either destroy it(if they can) or seek answers explaining it.

Answer #7

I agree we’re smarter than animals and more civilised.

Orcas have a more complex brain than humans. They’re also not prone to KILL each other as often.

Answer #8

Some people think they know everything. They are obviously wrong, but still, it’s difficult to change someone’s mind once it’s made up. You believe what you believe. Let everyone else believe what they want. The point is to be happy. And if believing in God (however false it may or may not be) makes them happy, then shut the fckk up and let them live their life how THEY want it. It’s their life, not yours.

So I can’t keep you from thinking everyone is stupid to believe in something that gives them hope and makes them happy. But don’t take it out on everyone else. Let everyone else be happy, and find a way to pursue your own happiness without taking it away from everyone else.

Answer #9

I disagree, I believe humans were created to be curious and open-mined. We were created to wonder and dream about the unknown. This curiosity built inside us has been the root of the inventions and technology that we enjoy today. Some may be ignorant and closed minded toward new ideas other than there own, but not everybody is. Its important to be content with the way things are, as long as there is alos acceptance and openness for change too.

Answer #10

created…all that we are is the product of evolution…the way I figure it the world would be better off without religion of any form claiming knowledge of divinity.a lot of problem that are today would be gone.
