ANSWER #1 of 1

A physician assistant does many of the same things, but a PA has to work under the supervision of a physician or surgeon and cannot operate an independent practice as compared to a nurse practitioner. Also a nurse practitioner has a master's degree (after meeting requirements to become a registered nurse), while a PA goes a different path and goes to a PA accredited program.
