What is the difference between high school, college and university in the us?
High School is high school... the final 4-5 years of basic education. After that, you move into college education. As for 'college' and 'university' ...well... we tend to use both words for the same purpose.
Junior or Community Colleges (2 yr) Colleges (4 yr) Graduate Colleges (4+ yr)
Most of the '4yr and up' colleges have 'university' in their names. But for the most part, any post-highschool education is considered college.
