What is my ideal weight? Am I obese or anorexic?

Ok I’m 5’9 and wiegh 105 and I’m 13 and I play basketball. Am I over weight or under weight or what?

Answer #1

I see a tall skinny person that needs a change.

Answer #2

Being skinny doesn’t make a person anorexic. Anorexia’s see themselves as fat no matter what they weigh (it’s the distorted self image that makes an anorexic)… So…what do YOU see when you look into the mirror?

Answer #3

I gave no clue what to eat. The food I eat is what I’ve ate my whole life. Yeah I get mcdonald and chicfila and zaxbys but I also eat healthy so I won’t turn out like half Americans.

Answer #4

Kind of odd. Considering that muscle ways more then fat I would think you would be heavier. Maybe you should see your doctor. Your doctor will be able to have a specialized diet made for you so you go up to your ideal weight.

Answer #5

Whats a physilogist? did you mean psychologist? Well im not sure what a gastronologist. I meant more in the idea of a nutritionist. But your personal doctor should be able to make a personalized diet for you to get you at your ideal weight.

Answer #6

I’m trying to prove all my friend wrong that I’m not anorexic, I eat like crazy! but I still weigh around 105 but I play basketball and run a few miles everyday.

Answer #7

im pretty sure you’re underweight. I used a bmi calculater to check and it said you were under the “anorexic” catagory. So im sure my guess was right.

Answer #8

Don’t get me wrong Zoe! I was simply stating that she doesn’t need to think that she might possibly be anorexic simple as that. As for your friends I think they care about you and are trying to point it out to you. If you keep persisting though then you might give them the wrong idea. People that are highly defensive about something tend to have something to hide. Once again don’t get me wrong with what I’m saying just take it as it is. Now just work on improving your diet and you should be fine really!

Answer #9

yeah that phycologist. Ad I do eat! Like yeah I don’t eat school lunch but I bring a arby sandwich and lime tonight for suppe my dads friend cooked shrimp, calamari, salad, and a lot of things but he doesn’t eat fats or butter. So that might be what’s happening. Like when I was 10 like you could see my ribs. It was horrible mama took me to doctors and thy never said anything and I strte playing sports and since I started doing crunches you can’t see my ribs and so I don’t know.

Answer #10

Okay heres the thing, if your not nourishing yourself properly your body eats off the muscle you make. Something isn’t adding up, I have a feeling your not eating as much as you say. Also, anorexic is a mental disorder its doesn’t fit in this situation its not like you starve yourself or consider yourself ridiculously huge. You might be in the weight zone for being anorexic but that doesn’t mean you have the mental disorder. I feel though, that since your more regularly active as other people you need more food to keep up with your body. I think I’ve drawn my conclusion that your not eating enough, honestly please eat more! I would definitely go with Zoe’s advice and go to your doc so he/she can get you on a specialized diet.

Best of luck :)

Answer #11

I wasn’t trying to say that she was anorexic. Its the lowest meter of the BMI scale. They say its “anorexic” because it is the tiniest. And on top of that It was 3. something below the highest part of the anorexic catagory. I was in nooo way saying that she was anorexic in the least. You may be right. You could possibly need to add more fat to your diet. Healthy fat though not trans.

Answer #12

well like the gastronologist in town is my dads best frie and he sees me every day and he doesn’t say nothing! He helps me lift weight and do crunches and excersise. he’s like my personal trainer but I don’t know my mom has sent me to this person to talk to it’s like a physilogist bc my mom thought I was making my self throw up and I’m not!

Answer #13

for your height, a bit underweight.

Answer #14

I know but I’m trying to prove to my friends it’s not my fault I’m so flipping skinny.
