What is my dogs issue

yeah… labs need a lot of exercise the reason why he listens to you so good when you trow him the ball is because you have all his attention because hes playing and spending his extra energy. a big dog ( even a baby ) Needs exercise EVERY single day! yeah sure they are sooo cute as puppies! why not get a nice puppy for the kids? But a lot of people forget that those lil puppies WILL grow up and they will need a lot of attention and exercise. there is my advise try it for a week and I prosime it WILL work: Take your dog for a walk everyday ( big nice walk at least 1 hour ) the dog has to spend his energy thats it.. thats all you have to do.. spend the dogs energy and never hit him. and he will grow up to be an awsome dog. at 1 year old your dog is suposed to act properly hes the size of an adult dog so he can and he will hurt someone if hes still acting like a baby. jumping on kids can turn out being extremely dangerous. good luck.. and please get books and read on how to train dogs this happen WAY to often!! people dont know how to train them and get rid of the dog when really the ( owner ) is the problem.

lol I tend too forget hes a puppy… he weighs 147 pounds lol… h is so well trained in some areas… but yet so ignornt in othersss

There’s nothing wrong with this dog…tho, the owner (you) could use some help. He’s simply got no training (they come with manners, you have to instill them). Everything you listed as “dumb” is simply a puppy who has no idea of how YOU want him to act.

Take him to an obedience class…I think you’ll probably learn more than your dog…but at least you’ll have an idea of HOW manners are taught.

Also, toss that ball around more, and get some of the stink out of him. A tried dog is a good dog.

He’s still a baby! That’s how they act. Train him. When he does something wrong like jump on people, tell him no. My puppy is the same way with the food. He’ll have some pretty good smelling food waiting for him, but he insists on eating the cat food instead. Your dog sounds so cute though. :)
